Backing Pads for Resin Fiber Discs
Pads diameters start at 2" upto  9".  The molded pad can be composed of flexible rubber, medium poly, or hard plastic.  Some discs are ribbed with spirals for cooling, which increases disc life.


Pad Dimensions:  Diameter x Tool Arbor x Pad Attachment

Pad/Tool Arbor:     Male or Female w/ Threads & tpi, or Open Arbor
Pad Attachment:    Male plastic thread, open arbor, or PSA
Pad Hardness:       Listed w/ Item # Hard, Medium, or Soft
These are flexible rubber Resin Fiber Backing Pads  they come in 4" x 7/8" arbor and 4.5" x 7/8" arbor.  The flexible ribbed resin fiber backing pad leaves space between the Resin Fiber Disc and the Backing Pad for air to pass through.  This keeps the resin fiber disc and the backing pad from over-heating.  This style will prolong the life of your resin fiber discs and backing pads.  The flexible rubber backing pads also flex and contour to the surface you are sanding.  Common name brand resin fiber disc backing pads are Spiralcool, 3M, Norton, and Merit.
